UNLOCKING THE AKSHAYA TRITIYA IN LOCKDOWN.
On 26th April, 2020 there is auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya. It has lot of significance in Hindu religious belief. The meaning of ‘Akshaya’ is something that cannot be destroyed or torn apart and Trirtiya literally means third tithi from Hindumonth of Vaisakh. This day is considered to be sacred as it is not required to see any panchang, shubh muhurat for any kind of karma. Any task undertaken during this day will bring in good results. On the day of Akshaya Tritiya any work undertaken, the fruits of it will increase in manifold. Therefore it has lot of significance for people who are involved in spiritual activities.
For all our readers we would also like to inform you that Akshaya Tritiya day is also called ‘Parshuram Jayanti’ .As Parshuram was born on theday of Akshaya Tritiya, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He was a Brahmin but was born to avenge the evil on earth. He had unprecedented valor, calmness, wisdom and was fearless warrior. On this day worshipping lord Vishnu will also imbibe the qualities of Parshuram in the person.
It is also believed that Akshaya Tritiya marks the beginning of two yugas ‘Satyug’ and ‘Tretayug’ in Hindu religion. There is also a story that lord Ganesha, ‘the elephant headed god’ wrote the famous epic book of Mahabharata on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
Lord Kuber the god of wealth and richness received the post of treasurer for managing the treasures of heavenon the day of Akshaya Tritiya. He was blessed as ‘god of wealth’ by lord Shiva after pleasing him in his last birth. Lord Kuber was also the owner of pushpak Vimaan and alsoonce owned and ruled gold studded Lanka.

Things to do on Akshaya Tritiya:

Anything bought on this day will get multiplied many number of times. Therefore on this auspicious day people buy gold, vehicle, property etc. Buying materialistic things will not get destroyed by any means and increases it by multiple times.

It is also believed that people who do meditation, puja, Jap, etc., will get the fruits of such karma in manifold. People who are involved in spiritual activities will get desired results or Siddhi in their spiritual efforts.

Due to lockdown due to COVID 19 in the current situation it is difficult to buy gold, vehicles or any other products. It is said that highest order of virtue or punya is charity or daan.In the current scenario food daan or ann daan is the best daan which will be fruitful to the donor in multiple times. There will never be any scarcity of food grains in the donor’s house.

During lockdown it is difficult to do any puja by calling any Brahmin at home. We suggest that you can do this at home on your own. After bath one should lit thelamp of ghee and one should worships lord Vishnu and goddess laxmi .On this sacred day one will get all its desires fulfilled. To please god on this day reading Shiva and Vishnu shahastranamawali and chanting mantra “Om Namo Bhagwatay Vasudevay’at least 11 malas will also bring in good fruits to the chanter.
